Mr. Martin’s career in lodging and real estate investment started in 1994. Since January 2012, Mr. Martin has been pursuing a value based, cash-flow acquisition program of upper-end extended stay, select and limited service properties. The new venture has purchased over $53 million in assets. 

From January 2008 until December 2011 Mr. Martin  was acting CFO / Managing Director of Grand Heritage Hotel Group. Prior to this Mr. Martin was a Principal of Trinity Hotel Investors L.L.C. ("Trinity"), a company in which he was one of the founding partners in October of 2002.   Mr. Martin profitably liquidated all of his Trinity holdings upon sale of his partnership interest in 2007.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Martin held positions with Jack A Shaffer & Company, Highgate Holdings, Sonnenblick- Goldman Company and Legg Mason. During his time with these companies Mr. Martin acted as lender or arranged investments in over $3.5 billion in real estate, primarily hospitality related, transactions. Mr. Martin holds degrees in economics and history form Fairfield University and formerly taught at New York University's Real Estate Institute.
